Where can I do these courses?

Typically we run these courses throughout the Brecon Beacons and areas of Snowdonia, although location may depend on weather and conditions.

What is the difference between Hill Skills & Mountain Training?

Our Hill Skills course is slightly more relaxed, keeping a slower pace and planning movement along calmer terrain.

Mountain Training steers away from the marked paths onto steeper, rockier terrain, with more critical and fast decision making.

I have no experience. Do I have to start with beginners’ navigation?

No. You never have to start at one course and work your way up. Each course can be run for an individual or group at any skill level. Bear in mind the beginner courses allow more time for map reading, compass use and planning; the more advanced courses will require more work, so be prepared.
