A circular route from Storey Arms taking in spectacular views of Llyn Cwm Llwch, visiting Tommy Jones’ Obelisk, on to Corn Du, then finishing on the iconic Pen y Fan, the highest peak in South Wales. We return to Pont ar Daf car park.
Walking the same route as our classic Pen y Fan guided walk, focused on watching the sun set behind the valley mountains, or catching the sunrise, which involves walking in the dark.
We meet at the Upper Neuadd car park and walk clockwise around the iconic Beacons Horseshoe, taking in the four summits of Corn Du, Pen y Fan, Cribyn and Fan y Big.
A spectacular walk in the Western Beacons (Black Mountain). We meet near Dan yr Ogof showcaves and walk a circular route onto Fan Hir and along this incredible glacial ridge. Fan Brycheiniog comes into view, with views down to Llyn y Fan Fawr and as far as the Pembrokeshire coast.
The Brecon Beacons have many sites where aircraft sadly went off course. We offer remembrance walks and historical visits for those interested in learning about the crashes and the battles being fought, seeking out remote sites to pay respects.
A relatively easy walk to where the Chartists hid away, with lots of ground birds, many sinkholes and lovely views up to the Beacons. Lunch is taken sitting at a Bronze Age burial cairn. Mostly flat ground and achievable for most.
Completed as a full or half day, both options offer spectacular views of this famous waterfall system. Walk behind Sgwd yr Eira and feel the power of the spray as it cascades in front of you.
